- IMPROV: iOWest Alumni and DCT Performer, Groundlings trained (Basic and Intermediate completed).
STAND UP COMEDY: Trained with Judith Shelton, recent showcase in Atwater Village (clip attached to resume).
SINGING: Great singer (Mezzo Soprano)! 15+ years of experience including musical theater, cabaret, jazz, folk.
MUSIC: Ukulele player (love to cover Top 40). Extremely quick study and great at memorizing music on new instruments as needed. Read basic music. Basic autoharp.
VOICE: Extremely facile with accents and dialects. Character voiceover demo available at www.katiecofield.com
DANCE: Move very well-- many years of various styles of dance (modern, musical theatre, basic pole dance (2+ years)-- several spins, fan kick, pole sits, climb and basic inversion, spin pole poses).
ADVENTURE/TRAVEL: Very well travelled- favorite places include Finland (drove husky sleds, ice fished), Poland (ran through the forest of Poland singing traditional folk songs) and Paris (ate all the bread!).
VOLUNTEERING: 2+ years of being a weekly volunteer at Baby2Baby (baby2baby.org) in LA, yearly walker and fundraiser for Americans for Suicide Prevention, and Christmas morning volunteer with St. John the Wonderworker in Atlanta.
FITNESS: Many years pilates, basic/intermediate yoga, pole dance fitness twice a week. Body image and Health at Every Size advocate.
PUPPETRY: Professional puppeteer for many years at the largest puppetry theater in the USA.
BUSINESS: Small business owner, "Buttoned Up Girls", jewelry made from upcycled and vintage buttons and accessories.
BAKING: 12+ years, skilled gluten free baker.
TECH/GEEKERY: Avid video gamer, especially the Legend of Zelda series. Huge Star Wars fan, Lord of the Rings nerd and general Sci-Fi and Fantasy fanatic.
FRIENDS: Group of gorgeous, funny besties (3 women).
RELATIONSHIP: Been married for 11 years to my high school sweetheart!
PETS: A tuxedo cat who wears bowties and whose tongue is always out (IG: @itsoutagain).
